Great News!
We will be leaving for China on 17 Feb and returning on or about 5 Mar!

We have updated information on Michelle. Here are some new pictures!
Michelle was found at the entrance of a development company in Fuzhou, Jiangxi, China on 12 Nov 2007. She was taken to Fuzhou City Orphanage and was examined by a doctor who determined she was probably only a day old when she was found. So, we have fixed her birthdate at November 11, 2007.

We were glad to find out that she was placed into foster care within her first week at the orphanage. She remained in foster care for nine months and then went back to the orphanage in Aug, 2008.

She seems to be healthy in every respect. These pictures were taken in early January, 2009.

It will be a relief to begin our trip because then we can relax! We are looking forward to holding Michelle and bringing her into our family.

We will try to post here daily during our trip.

We will meet up with our adoption agency travel group on 20 Feb. in Hong Kong.

We will be receive Michelle on 22 Feb in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China.

We are thankful for your support and prayers as we begin this journey.

John 13:15 "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you"
Lam 3:22,23 "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

  4. Yeah!!! Feeling your excitement and anticipation. It happens that Scott is in China right now, for a few days...his first trip there since our bringing Norah home. He just told me that they say there are now 20 million orphans in China! Praise God that little Michelle is no longer an orphan, but in your loving family. We will be praying for your family, for travel mercies, solid bonding, love, and affection...as only God can cause. I hope you enjoy your time in China, that this is a time of fun, excitement, and just a wonderful family experience, that will be a sweet time you will look back on fondly. Surely it will be an adventure! God bless you. By the way, she is absolutely adorable!!!
